What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

This Thanksgiving I will be spending lots of time with my family. Everyone is coming to our house this year (about 20 people) and we will celebrate together. Our thanksgiving is pretty normal in terms of what we eat. We have turkey and all of the normal Thanksgiving foods. We will eat the feast at dinnertime however normally we have it for lunch. Other than what we eat we just sit around and watch football and maybe play a game or two. We don't really have any traditions.

Go out and look up a what all goes on a resume website. What can you find? Include an example image if possible.

Some thing that go on a resume website are a persons education history, employment history, skills and other things that they believe help a employer think they are deserving of the job they are going for. the image bellow is an example for what one could find if they were looking at someones personal resume website.

Consider the quote below. What exactly do you think it means and how does it relate to Web Design?

I think this quote is referring less to the artistic aspect of things and more towards the use. For example the background picture is of a highway and the design of it is important to traffic flow (how it works). In terms of web design the design also impacts the usage of a website and how the website works. If the design of a website is clean and simple the user will have an easier time using and navigating it. However if it is sloppy or confusing the user will become frustrated with the difficulty in navigating the website and this could, in a business situation, cause the user to leave the website and to lose a customer. As a customer you may not notice the great website but you will notice the bad ones and they will affect your willingness to stay on the website  


User Experience:  The effect a website has on the viewer and the feelings drawn out of the viewer by the website.

Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.

I have learned a lot about a lot in this class. When I started this class my computer, website, and html knowledge was very small to none. Pretty much everything we have done so far has been a new learning opportunity for me. Also I have learned lots about non web design stuff. In all of my other classes I have been learning new things all year. At school, a common occurrence is that you learn and learn a lot. I have been no different and in all of my classes I have been learning and will keep learning a lot.

FTP- The File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to transfer computer files from one place to another over a TCP network (ex: Internet)

Web Server- A Web server is a program that serves the files that form Web pages to Web users 

Web Hosting (also list examples of web hosting companies)- Providing storage space and access for websites. (ex: just host, web, ipage, blue host, fat cow, and many more)

Tell me about your weekend. Give me details and photos!

On Friday I didn't really do much so I'll skip over that. On Saturday I slept in and then I went to a swim meet. I did pretty well considering it was the first meet of the season. I swam four events including the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 50 freestyle, and the 200 butterfly. I had best times in two of the four and I was happy with all of them. On Sunday I went to Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Chiefs game. It was a great game and they ended up winning 24-10 over the New York Jets. With loses from everyone in their division, the Chiefs moved into second place in the division.
