Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted it, I should be able to use it."

I don't agree that the images on the internet should be free because the people who create them put in a lot of work. For some of these photographers and artists, they rely on these images to make money. Also the internet is the best tool for them to get their images out and to advertise themselves and their images. While I would like to use all of the images on the internet, it isn't fair to the people who put in their own time and effort to create the images.

Tell me a little bit about yourself and your life here at BVHS. What activities or clubs are you involved in? What year are you in school? What is your favorite class and/or teacher so far this year? What are you looking forward to this school year? Include some original photos from your phone if you can.

I am a junior at Blue Valley High School and I am a part of lots of activities. I am in the BVHS drumline in the band and I play the tenors. I am also on the swim team, my best stroke is backstroke. So far my favorite class is Web Design because it is fun to be able to create and edit websites. My favorite teacher is Mr. Holloway because he is funny and makes physics bearable. I am looking forward to learning new things and creating great memories.

What do you know about Web Design right now? What did you know about Web Design before you walked in to this class? Tell me as much as you can about how web pages work. Try to use an example if possible.

Web Design is creating a language that tells the computer how you want your web page to look. I didn't know a lot about Web Design before this class. All I knew was that there were a bunch of random letters and numbers that told the website what it should look like. The web pages use lots of different types of code, in this case html, which tells the web page how you want things to look and where you want them. for example on this page there will be html coding that is telling this blog post where it belongs on the page and what it should look like.
